Flint Families Privacy Notice
Effective 5 September 2026 · Version 1.0 (prelaunch website)
Flint Families is provided by Flint Nova Technologies Pty Ltd (ABN 15 697 098 043) (“Flint”, “we”, “us” or “our”), an Australian company based in Queensland.
This notice explains how we handle personal information through the prelaunch website at www.flintfamilies.com. It does not yet cover a public Flint Families app account or subscription. We will update or replace this notice before public app accounts, subscriptions, forms or additional data-handling functions become available.

1. What the website currently provides
The website provides prelaunch information about Flint Families and may link to the Flint Families Facebook page. It does not currently provide:
- a public Flint Families account or sign-in;
- an app download;
- a waitlist, newsletter or contact form;
- an online checkout or subscription purchase; or
- third-party advertising or behavioural-advertising tracking.
2. Information we may handle
When your browser requests a page, our hosting provider may process ordinary technical information needed to deliver, troubleshoot and protect the website, including:
- your internet protocol address;
- browser, device and operating-system information;
- the requested page, date and time;
- a referring page where your browser supplies it; and
- request, response, error and security information.
Flint does not currently ask you to enter personal information on the website.
If you email us, we may handle your name, email address, subject, message, attachments, timestamps, delivery information and the minimum information needed to respond to or manage your enquiry.
Please do not send passwords, identity documents, financial credentials, detailed medical information, intimate material or private household content through ordinary email.
3. Why we handle information
We handle the minimum information reasonably needed to:
- deliver the pages you request;
- maintain the website’s reliability and security;
- investigate errors, misuse or security incidents;
- acknowledge, route and respond to a message you choose to send; and
- meet a specifically applicable legal obligation.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use website or household information for data-broker activity, cross-service tracking, provider training or behavioural advertising.
4. Cookies and analytics
Flint does not currently use advertising cookies, advertising pixels or a general audience-analytics tool on this website.
Our hosting service may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and secure the site. We will assess and update this notice before enabling a waitlist, form, analytics tool, advertising technology or additional integration that changes how information is handled.
5. Service providers and overseas processing
The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., a United States company. Vercel may process technical request and service information in the United States and other places where it or its subprocessors operate. Vercel maintains a public subprocessor register.
We use Google Workspace to receive and organise email sent to our published contact address. Google may process message and delivery information in countries where Google or its subprocessors maintain facilities. Google maintains a public Workspace subprocessor register.
Within Flint, access to the contact mailbox is restricted, protected by two-step verification and not delegated or automatically forwarded.
If you follow a link to an external service, including Facebook, that service handles information under its own terms and privacy notice. Flint does not control the external service’s independent data handling.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was handled or for a specifically applicable obligation.
- Technical website runtime logs are retained for up to 30 days under the current hosting configuration.
- Routine support enquiries are retained for up to 12 months after closure.
- Eligible privacy requests and formal complaints are retained for up to 24 months after closure so that we can preserve a proportionate record of the request, response and follow-up.
- Legal, security, fraud or billing evidence is retained only for the minimum period required by the specific active matter or applicable obligation.
We separate retained evidence where practical and do not keep unnecessary attachments or household content merely because limited case evidence remains. Information is deleted or de-identified when it is no longer needed. Email moved to Gmail Trash is permanently deleted after 30 days under Google’s standard service behaviour, after which provider copies are handled under Google’s contractual deletion process and any applicable legal obligation.
7. Security and incidents
We use proportionate access controls and provider safeguards intended to protect the website and information handled through it. No internet service can promise absolute security.
If we become aware of a suspected data breach, we will investigate, contain and assess it and notify affected people and relevant authorities where required.
8. Access, correction, deletion and complaints
You may contact us to ask whether we hold personal information about you through the website, request access or correction, request deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern or complaint.
We use the minimum information reasonably needed to verify the requester and the request. A new email receives an immediate automated acknowledgement. We aim to provide a human response within three Brisbane business days, excluding Queensland public holidays, and to complete eligible access, correction or deletion requests within 30 calendar days. If more time is reasonably required, we will explain why.

If we do not resolve an eligible privacy complaint, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
9. Children and information about other people
The prelaunch website is directed to adults and does not currently collect child-profile information. Please do not send information about a child or another person unless it is necessary and you have appropriate authority or another lawful basis to provide it.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice when the website or our information-handling practices change. The current version and effective date will be displayed on this page, and earlier versions will be retained in our controlled records.
We will publish an expanded privacy policy matching the final tested service before public Flint Families app accounts, subscriptions or optional processing become available.
